Former GOP Assemblyman Alan Nakanishi is launching another campaign for elected office: Lodi City Council. The 70-year-old ophthalmologist, who served on the council before being elected to the 10th Assembly District in 2002, lost a four-way Republican primary in June for the Board of Equalization District 2 seat.
